President Erdogan celebrates the launch of the largest social housing project in Turkey's history

Turkish President Erdogan is celebrating the launch of the largest social housing project in Turkey's history, noting the large number of buildings that have been built, saying: "We have created one million and 170 thousand houses so far, 90% of which are within social housing projects.", The President also added that as of tomorrow (9/14/2022) the new project will start receiving applications and reservations and that by the beginning of the year the foundation stone for the projects will be laid.

In his speech, the President said, "We are sharing with our citizens the project, which is estimated to be worth $900 billion. This huge investment will not only reduce house prices and rents, but also increase the rate of home ownership.", The first phase of the project includes the display of 250,000 social housing, 250,000 lands and 10,000 workplaces for sale.
